Holy Crap, it's Animation!
I've been playing with this here new fangled techno-whatsis called You Tube.
Has anyone heard of this?
Anyway, I uploaded a couple old pencil tests to it.
Some other files aren't cooperating with me just yet.
First, here's a rough pecil test I did for the 10 Second Club (now the 11 Second Club) a few years back. It was the first time I tried using Flash as a pencil tester for traditional animation.
Audio is from Animaniacs.
Next is a pencil test done directly in Flash with a Wacom featuring Bill Halliar's Evilman with dialouge from Army of Darkness.

Hawaiian Punk Revisited
Due to the overwhelming response I received from my takes on popular food characters at Wizard World Chicago; I'm dusting off an old sketch to finally ink and color it.
It seems in this day and age you can't just haul off and sock somebody who desires "A nice Hawaiian Punch!".
Next on the deck in this series will be finishing the Twinkie the Kid sketch I did a while ago.
Also, since there was so much demand for one, I'll have to do my take on Count Chocula eventually.

Wizard World Chicago
I will be sharing a table with the omni-present Bill Halliar in Artist's Alley table #4314 A.
I'll be selling copies of my sketchbook Gorilla Salad as well as some prints.
Bill will be selling his sketchbook Roughbeasts. http://roughbeasts.com
Come on by and spend your money frivolously!

Summer Events!
San Diego Comic Con
July 25th - 29th.
I don't have a table this year since it's a very last minute thing. Unless some generous soul takes pity on me and offers up a spare 6 inches to sell my wares, that'd be mighty swell of ya!
Otherwise, I'll be trying to reconnect with people I met last year since I had to put everything on hold due to recent events.
Wizard World Chicago
August 9th - 12th.
I'm going to have a table in Artist's Alley with the legendary Bill Halliar selling sketchbooks and prints.
Hope to see everyone there(s)!
Be sure to buy plenty of thing from me and plenty of beers for me!

Acting!
I was inspired by a recent post on John K's blog regarding realistic and cartoon acting:
To illustrate his point, he posted several screencaps of a scene from the Honeymooners.
I thought it would be an interesting excercise to sketch out this interaction with two of my characters in Ralph and Norton's place.
I know they aren't necessarily on model or to scale, but that wasn't the point. It was to get a more expressive and subtle performance out my characters that I may not have done before.
There are some I like better than others and I can see where I could have added more but it was still a fun little excercise to do. Go ahead and give it a try!
