The Curse of Greg Brady!

Beware the teen idols you pick up on the beach!

In other news, we are supposed to be getting a table at Wizard World Chicago (June 26th - 29th). By "we" I mean myself, Bill Halliar and Melly Curphy (Miss Monster).
I'll update when I have a locale.

Tiki Update & Comics News

First, here's a quick update on the Tiki piece I've been working on between everything else and trying to assemble the "Peeking Duck" sketchbook in time for con.

In just a couple weeks (June 8th??) Devil's Due will be publishing a book called Ninja Town featuring Wee Ninjas.

I did vector cleanup over the layouts of a 10 page story by the Energizer bunny known as Art Baltazar http://www.artbaltazar.com/.

Also joining the fray for a couple Baltazarian tales is the oval seat warmer known as Bill Halliar http://www.roughbeasts.com/.

Check it out, won't you?

Sleepy Limbs
This is a rough pencil test done in Flash for April's 11 Seond Club. But between freelance, charity walks and a nasty stomach flu I won't finish it in time. So here it is as is:

March of Dimes Final Update
A very sincere thank you to all of you who supported us and the March of Dimes March for Babies. We are humbled by the outpouring of love and generosity. Throughout our experience in the NICU we relied on so many of you for support and sometimes just a diversion, and we are so grateful that you are still thinking of our little ones. It was wonderful to be able to give back to an organization that has provided so much research and medical advances for premature babies. In total we raised $910!
Thanks again!-Bob

March of Dimes UPDATE
Well, in less than two weeks we not only managed to meet our goal of $500, but exceed it by over $200! Big thanks to all who have contributed so far!

Sunday, March 30, 2008

On Sunday April 27th, my wife will be walking for the March of Dimes in memory of our triplets Zach, Alex and Marianna. Her goal for the 6.2 mile walk is $500. Every little bit helps and anything you could give would be most appreciated.

Forgotten Icon
I did this Tony the Tiger a couple years back in an experiment to merge classic and modern Tony designs. It seems I never finalized it and well, other things come up and some ideas fall by the waste side. I think I was never happy with how the shading turned out.

Supergirl Sketch
I'm attempting to get back in the habit of semi-regular sketching since our baby arrived.
Not to mention prepare for con season and hopefully assemble a new sketchbook.
I did use a photo reference so I feel she's a little stiff. I think I might want to go back and take another whack at it for a more cartoony feel.

Holy Crap, it's Animation!
I've been playing with this here new fangled techno-whatsis called You Tube.
Has anyone heard of this?
Anyway, I uploaded a couple old pencil tests to it.
Some other files aren't cooperating with me just yet.
First, here's a rough pecil test I did for the 10 Second Club (now the 11 Second Club) a few years back. It was the first time I tried using Flash as a pencil tester for traditional animation.
Audio is from Animaniacs.

Next is a pencil test done directly in Flash with a Wacom featuring Bill Halliar's Evilman with dialouge from Army of Darkness.
