Merry X-Mas!

Ok, ok it's been a while. I just wrapped up work on a massive awesome freelance animation project. So, hopefully it'll be a very short break before the next project rolls my way.

In the meantime:

Doctor and Rose

Testing!

A couple test pages.

Hey! There's a Comic with my Name in it!
A Devil's Due comic book called Ninjatown: The Adventures of Wee Ninja: Volume 1 just came out last week. I finally obtained a copy yesterday. I'm told Graham Crackers Comics has been selling out of them.
It features stories and art by the wolrd famous dynamic duo Franco Aureliani and Art Baltazar. There is also art (cover too!) by Bill Halliar. Then there's a ten pager by yours truly in the middle.
Check it out, won't you?

We’re Gettin’ the Band Back Together!

After a long hiatus, I believe it is time to revive our once a month sketchbook night.
So, first we need to decide on a central location (with good seating, lighting, food and booze) in the Chicago area since everyone is spread out. All suggestions are welcome, so let's hear your thoughts.
We also need to think of a name!

Doctor! Ain't there nuthin' I can take?
I said, Doctor! To relieve this Dalek ache?

Sketchbook Link is Up!
The link to purchase Peeking Duck is now up! It's just under the "About Me" section.

Back from Con!
Holy buckets, what a weekend! Big thanks to all who stopped by our little table. Even bigger thanks to those of you who gave me money! Bwah!
Also, thanks to the Disney people for the swell party; Mr. Tennapel for hanging out with us at said party; DC for taking the time to meet with me; both Ape and Boom! for probably wanting me to draw stuff for them; and all the awesome people we met and hung out with!

For those of you who didn't come and were interested in picking up a copy of "Peeking Duck", I will be setting up a little store for it soon. It'll be $15 (US only at the moment) and I'll do a sketch in it for you.
Since I sold out of so many and since I had many people ask about it, I will eventually set up a store for prints as well.
If anyone's really interested, I have the last 2 copies of my first skethcbook, "Gorilla Salad" left (EVER!). That's $10; drop me a line if you wants one.

Sketchbooks are Here!

Fresh outta da box! Get 'em while they're hot! Limited quantities!

San Diego Comic Con!

Wizard World Chicago

I got a last minute table at Wizard World Chicago (June 26th - 29th) that I will be sharing with Bill Halliar and Melly Curphy (Miss Monster).

Artist's Alley table 5806.

I doubt my new book "Peeking Duck" will be back from the printer on time. Maybe I can set up pre-orders or something. But I will have new prints, buttons and the few remaining copies of "Gorilla Salad".

Pac-Man Fever!

Guess what? I got a fever! A fever to finish my new sketchbook by con!

With that, I'm dusting off a few things that weren't completed until now.

Duck n' Cover!
I just painted the cover to this year's con sketchbook "Peeking Duck". I never painted in gouache before. I think it's also the first thing I've painted in 18 years.

The Curse of Greg Brady!

Beware the teen idols you pick up on the beach!

In other news, we are supposed to be getting a table at Wizard World Chicago (June 26th - 29th). By "we" I mean myself, Bill Halliar and Melly Curphy (Miss Monster).
I'll update when I have a locale.

Indy What For?

Tiki Update & Comics News

First, here's a quick update on the Tiki piece I've been working on between everything else and trying to assemble the "Peeking Duck" sketchbook in time for con.

In just a couple weeks (June 8th??) Devil's Due will be publishing a book called Ninja Town featuring Wee Ninjas.

I did vector cleanup over the layouts of a 10 page story by the Energizer bunny known as Art Baltazar http://www.artbaltazar.com/.

Also joining the fray for a couple Baltazarian tales is the oval seat warmer known as Bill Halliar http://www.roughbeasts.com/.

Check it out, won't you?

Tiki in Distress!

What's paining this tiki? Stay tuned and find out!

The Animation Page!
I finally had the opportunity to put up the animation page on my site.
Not everything is up there yet. But keep checking back for more!

Sleepy Limbs

This is a rough pencil test done in Flash for April's 11 Seond Club. But between freelance, charity walks and a nasty stomach flu I won't finish it in time. So here it is as is:
