Hey! There's a Comic with my Name in it! A Devil's Due comic book called Ninjatown: The Adventures of Wee Ninja: Volume 1 just came out last week. I finally obtained a copy yesterday. I'm told Graham Crackers Comics has been selling out of them. It features stories and art by the wolrd famous dynamic duo Franco Aureliani and Art Baltazar. There is also art (cover too!) by Bill Halliar. Then there's a ten pager by yours truly in the middle. Check it out, won't you?
After a long hiatus, I believe it is time to revive our once a month sketchbook night. So, first we need to decide on a central location (with good seating, lighting, food and booze) in the Chicago area since everyone is spread out. All suggestions are welcome, so let's hear your thoughts. We also need to think of a name!
Back from Con! Holy buckets, what a weekend! Big thanks to all who stopped by our little table. Even bigger thanks to those of you who gave me money! Bwah! Also, thanks to the Disney people for the swell party; Mr. Tennapel for hanging out with us at said party; DC for taking the time to meet with me; both Ape and Boom! for probably wanting me to draw stuff for them; and all the awesome people we met and hung out with!
For those of you who didn't come and were interested in picking up a copy of "Peeking Duck", I will be setting up a little store for it soon. It'll be $15 (US only at the moment) and I'll do a sketch in it for you. Since I sold out of so many and since I had many people ask about it, I will eventually set up a store for prints as well. If anyone's really interested, I have the last 2 copies of my first skethcbook, "Gorilla Salad" left (EVER!). That's $10; drop me a line if you wants one.
I got a last minute table at Wizard World Chicago (June 26th - 29th) that I will be sharing with Bill Halliar and Melly Curphy (Miss Monster).
Artist's Alley table 5806.
I doubt my new book "Peeking Duck" will be back from the printer on time. Maybe I can set up pre-orders or something. But I will have new prints, buttons and the few remaining copies of "Gorilla Salad".
March of Dimes Final Update A very sincere thank you to all of you who supported us and the March of Dimes March for Babies. We are humbled by the outpouring of love and generosity. Throughout our experience in the NICU we relied on so many of you for support and sometimes just a diversion, and we are so grateful that you are still thinking of our little ones. It was wonderful to be able to give back to an organization that has provided so much research and medical advances for premature babies. In total we raised $910! Thanks again!-Bob
On Sunday April 27th, my wife will be walking for the March of Dimes in memory of our triplets Zach, Alex and Marianna. Her goal for the 6.2 mile walk is $500. Every little bit helps and anything you could give would be most appreciated.
Forgotten Icon I did this Tony the Tiger a couple years back in an experiment to merge classic and modern Tony designs. It seems I never finalized it and well, other things come up and some ideas fall by the waste side. I think I was never happy with how the shading turned out.
